Stacking technology comprises automated systems that stack or destack workpieces, panels or load carriers precisely and gently. It replaces manual stacking wherever weight, cycle rate or precision requirements push staffing to its limits.

Tomasic's stacking technology is used primarily in the building-materials industry, for example stacking plasterboard, fibre-cement or engineered wood panels, and in logistics for stacking and destacking large load carriers such as pallets, mesh boxes or small load carriers (KLT).

Within production itself, stacking technology also handles buffering and staging workpieces between individual manufacturing steps.

What products are suitable for automated stacking technology?

Automated stacking technology is particularly suited to dimensionally stable, uniform products such as panels, pallets or mesh boxes that need to be stacked or destacked in large quantities. For irregularly shaped or very sensitive parts, we assess individually whether an automated solution makes sense.

How high can an automated system stack?

The maximum stacking height depends on product weight, stability and the space available in your plant, and is dimensioned individually. We determine the appropriate stacking height together with you during the design consultation.

Can a stacking system both stack and destack?

Yes, many of our systems are designed for both directions and can be used for stacking or destacking as needed. Whether a bidirectional design makes sense for your application is clarified as part of the plant planning.
